Stellantis just dropped fresh teasers for the next-gen Jeep Compass, confirming its global debut will happen in Europe this spring. Production for the European market kicks off later this year at the Melfi plant in Italy — a detail confirmed by Stellantis spokesperson Lou Ann Gosselin last month.
Meanwhile, production at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Canada is on pause as Stellantis rethinks its North American product strategy.
The latest teasers give us a clearer look at the Compass design, keeping Jeep’s signature seven-slot grille but with slimmer, Recon-inspired headlights. The rear gets sharper LED taillights for a modern touch.
Built on the STLA Medium platform — shared with the Peugeot 3008, 5008, Opel Grandland, and Citroën C5 Aircross — the new Compass will offer a mix of powertrains, including mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric versions. Select trims will still feature all-wheel drive.
Jeep promises the new Compass will deliver signature Jeep capability, competitive pricing, and best-in-class performance with advanced tech, including cutting-edge connectivity and driver-assist systems (ADAS).
The exact launch timeline isn’t locked yet, but the European release is expected in the second half of 2025. As for North America, it’s still up in the air. Rumors suggest Stellantis might delay the EV version for the US and Canada — possibly pushing the launch back by a year.
