Since its launch in 2021, Geely-owned Zeekr has focused exclusively on EVs. Now, the brand is entering the plug-in hybrid market with the debut of the 9X Grand, expected to be priced at $138,000 when it goes on sale in China this fall. The luxury SUV will make its official debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April.
Ahead of its reveal, Zeekr has released teaser images and winter testing footage, hinting at a direct competitor to the Range Rover. While exact dimensions remain unknown, the images confirm a massive full-size SUV with a boxy, high-end design.
The 9X Grand’s body styling is inspired by premium SUVs like the Range Rover and Rolls-Royce Cullinan, featuring hidden door handles and distinctive headlights shared with the Zeekr 009 minivan. The spacious cabin integrates advanced driver-assist technology, including a LiDAR sensor on the windshield.
Under the hood, the 9X Grand is expected to feature a high-performance gasoline engine combined with at least two electric motors, achieving 0-97 km/h in under 4 seconds and offering a minimum of 100 km of pure electric driving range.
