SAIC Volkswagen has officially launched the seven-seater Teramont Pro SUV in China, with prices ranging from $37,500 to $44,500. The vehicle is powered by Volkswagen’s fifth-generation 2.0L engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch DQ501 transmission, delivering a maximum output of 200 kW and 400 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds while maintaining a fuel efficiency of 8.35L/100 km under WLTC standards.
The Teramont Pro features cutting-edge technology, including a VTG turbocharger and a high-pressure 500-bar fuel system, ensuring both powerful performance and compliance with strict Euro 7 emission standards.
For the first time, the SUV introduces Volkswagen’s next-gen IQ.Pilot smart driving system, offering adaptive cruise control, active lane change, automatic obstacle avoidance, and the IQ.Drive parking assistant. Inside, the high-tech cabin boasts six screens and dual AI-powered voice assistants for seamless interaction.
Measuring 5,158 mm in length, 1,991 mm in width, and 1,788 mm in height, with a 2,980 mm wheelbase, the Teramont Pro offers a flexible three-row seating layout. The electric-folding seats allow an easy transition to a five-seat configuration, expanding the cargo space from 286L to 2,427L.
All seats come with heating and ventilation functions as standard. The driver’s seat includes a massage function, while the front passenger seat features a “semi-reclining” mode for premium long-distance comfort.
