Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën has introduced Hedmos, a new electric vehicle brand set to revolutionize the NEV market. Meaning “pioneering and advanced,” Hedmos aims to push the boundaries of innovation.
The first model, an all-electric SUV, will be available for pre-order in April, priced between ¥100,000 and ¥150,000 ($13,700–$20,600). Deliveries are scheduled to begin in May.
Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën, a joint venture between Stellantis and Dongfeng, has faced declining sales since its peak in 2015. The launch of Hedmos signals a strategic shift to regain market momentum.
The brand’s debut SUV shares design elements with the Dongfeng Fukang 06, featuring a 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor and a top speed of 170 km/h. It will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by CALB-Tech.
Hedmos will leverage Dongfeng Peugeot and Citroën’s sales network to expand its reach, aiming to carve out a significant presence in the EV industry.
